About Me

Annabell: Thanks for visiting! IVF is composed of countless hurdles to jump over. From dealing with insurance companies to worrying about the different stages of embryo development and dealing with side effects from all the drugs, it is important to keep the focus on one hurdle, one day at a time. If the focus is on the cycle as a whole and everything that can possibly go wrong and that has to be overcome, stress and anxiety increases dramatically. There is scientific evidence that the mind plays an important role in trying to conceive both naturally and with the assistance of high-tech methods such as IVF. So it is important to keep the stress at a minimum! This blog is intended to chronicle the ups and downs of this emotionally charged time and to show how my husband and I have tried to keep this journey in perspective. It's also a way that I can relieve some of my stress and stay as calm as I can.
